Online Casinos Introduction: Roulette Rules

Roulette is one of the most enjoyable casino games ever. It's fast, easy to learn and addictive. The game uses a wheel with numbered, colored sections all around. To play, the dealer spins the wheel and drops a ball into it. Your goal is to try to guess correctly where the ball goes when the wheel stops moving. You can pick one number or a series of numbers based on category.

It's that easy! Let's play!

How to Have Fun with Roulette

To play roulette, the following equipment are used:

A wheel A ball A betting board and chips

Wheel. There are two types of roulette wheels, European and American. Both have numbers 1-36, but the former has one 0, while the latter has a 0 and 00. So there are 37 pockets in European roulette, and 38 in American. Clearly it's easier to win with the former since you have less numbers to pick from.

Ball. This is a tiny ball that the dealer throws into the wheel as it starts spinning. The ball is small enough to fit into a ingle numbered slot.

Betting Board & Chips. This betting board has numbers and groupings in it. It used to indicate which numbers you bet on before the wheel is spun. This is how the board looks:

A 3x12 rectangle with boxes in it represents the numbers 1-36. Each number is in its own box. Aside from this, there are also boxed areas for all possible number groupings including: odd and even numbers, red and black numbers, upper half and lower half numbers and so on.

When you make a bet, you place your chip on the number or group of numbers you want to bet on. There are guidelines for correctly placing bets, shown below.
